The location is perfect, plenty of room with 3 separate bedrooms, a comfortable living room, and full access kitchen, washer/dryer and 1 bathroom. It was perfect. “Smith Island is remote, isolated, and a 45 minute ferry trip from Crisfield on lower Maryland's Eastern Shore.The house was recently renovated. It is very well furnished and equipt. Chris has a detailed handbook about what to expect on the island with names and phone numbers for residents who can provide services and give tours including the listing for the ferry boats. He is an engaged, conscientious and outstanding host who quickly and thoroughly responded to our questions. As a waterman...

“The cottage was very homey, pretty and clean. The furnishings and color scheme have the cottage a wam feel. What was a particularly nice touch was the cute doggie towel on the bench by the front door and doggie bags for clean up. The dog towel came in handy since my dear darling rolled on a rotten duck egg. The host was very friendly and accessible if needed. Will definitely stay there again.”

“Took my grandson for a weekend trip to Smith Island to celebrate his HS graduation. My daughter, also, accompanied us, since I am a 90 year old "Grammy", and need some assistance. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and had all of our needs. The host, Kim, was extremely attentive, and made our dinner the night we arrived so we could just relax.
